Andriana & the Bananas EPK

Indie-Pop, Heart-Rock

Andriana & the Bananas is a fusion of "indie-pop with heart-rock, with ruminations in jazz". Whether they're performing a dynamic full-layered song, a soul-stirring piano-centered ballad, or jamming to their version of a well-known cover, the band invites listeners to look beyond the daily routine and reach for the surreal, past the tear in the fabric of life.

Andriana & the Bananas create dramatic soundscapes that delve into themes about the human condition: exploring love, routine, a moment's perception, light and dark, and the pursuit of hope.

Lead by Andriana Chobot, whose expressive alto has been described as having “natural volume and emphatic delivery”. Her "theatrical flair and emotive voice make her music unforgettable." Andriana's musical journey began at the age of four, which was shaped by classical piano training and a passion for the stage. She started by writing her own compositions then, on her journey to find her own voice, began accompanying her original music with cascading melodies and poetry.

Tracks like Galaxy Eyes have been described as an exploration of "themes of perception and being perceived,” with its “trippy, visualizer-like” video.

"Galaxy Eyes features varied production that demonstrates range to the point that it threatens to split the seams of the MP3 file."

Meanwhile, Like It's the Last Time evokes the surreal moments of life, blending haunting melodies with a carousel of emotions.

Both tracks included, her sophomore album, Return to Sincere, was released in 2023. It was lauded as "a dramatic, theatrical journey of intensity and enthusiasm" and kick started her touring with Andriana & the Bananas throughout New England with her troupe of featured local talent.
